WELCOME MESSAGE
Join us for NEUROTRAUMA 2025!
We are delighted to invite you to attend the 42nd Annual National Neurotrauma Society Symposium, to be held in Philadelphia, PA, from June 15-18, 2025, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. As in previous years, the NNS will co-host this meeting with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/CNS Joint Section on Neurotrauma & Critical Care.
Our theme this year is “Ringing in Team Science.” As we continue to build on over four decades of neurotrauma research, we recognize that many of our most impactful advances have come from collaborative efforts that leverage diverse perspectives and scientific approaches. Team science encompasses a breadth of collaborative relationships ranging from a graduate student teaching an undergraduate new techniques, to two principal investigators meeting after a lecture to develop a new collaboration, and multi-center program project grants. Team science fosters innovation and is critical to the translation of research into clinical practice. This year’s meeting aims to celebrate and promote the collaborative spirit that is essential for tackling the complex challenges of neurotrauma.
Philadelphia, a city renowned for its history of collaboration and innovation, provides a perfect backdrop for this gathering. Philadelphia will inspire us as we work together to enhance diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for brain and spinal cord injuries. We believe that this year’s meeting will highlight the significant strides we have made in our field through teamwork and demonstrate the strong foundation for future research and clinical application that we are building together.
We have brought together an outstanding team of program committee members and volunteers, encompassing a broad spectrum of expertise in preclinical and clinical research in brain and spinal cord trauma. This diverse group, representing various career stages and backgrounds, is dedicated to creating an innovative and engaging program that reflects the collaborative spirit of team science across a wide array of research areas.
Alongside presenting groundbreaking scientific advancements, we will offer a wealth of opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, advocacy, and collaborative training for our junior scientists and clinicians. Building on the success of past programs, including the Local Scholars Program and various mentoring activities, we aim to further enhance teamwork and interdisciplinary learning. We’re enthusiastic about these offerings and look forward to attendees engaging with the diverse and collaborative programming that Neurotrauma 2025 will feature.
We look forward to seeing everyone in Philadelphia!
Very Sincerely,
