Andrea Lugo, Ms.

Doctoral Student

Andrea Lugo is a Ph.D. student in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder and a member of the Sleep, Inflammation, and Neuropathology (SIN) Lab. Her research focuses on developing high-throughput computational pipelines to analyze brain-wide histological and imaging data following traumatic brain injury. By integrating image processing, machine learning, and large-scale data modeling, Andrea aims to map neuroinflammatory and sleep-related changes across the brain to reveal mechanisms of injury and recovery. She is supported by the NIH T32 in Sleep and Circadian Rhythms and is passionate about bridging experimental neuroscience with computational discovery to advance precision approaches in neurotrauma research.
