Eleni Sinopoulou, Dr.

Assistant Project Scientist

Dr. Eleni Sinopoulou is an Assistant Project Scientist at the Center for Neural Repair at the University of California San Diego, specializing in spinal cord injury (SCI) and neural plasticity and stem cells. Her current work maps the corticospinal tract (CST) projectome and explores how SCI alters functional and anatomical connectivity. She has extensive experience in stem cell therapies and combinational treatment strategies for SCI, developed through both rodent and primate models. Dr. Sinopoulou brings strong expertise in in vivo electrophysiology, chronic recordings, and GLP-compliant workflows. Her translational focus bridges experimental neuroscience with clinical relevance, emphasizing reproducibility, interdisciplinary collaboration.
