John Carib Gensel, PhD, is Professor of Physiology and Director of the Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center (SCoBIRC) at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where he holds an endowed chair. His lab studies neuroimmune mechanisms after spinal cord and brain injury. He also leads NIH- and SCoBIRC-supported training programs.
