Dr. Helen Wei is a Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon at the University of Kentucky with board certifications in Surgical Critical Care and General Surgery. She completed her medical and doctoral degrees at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, a General Surgery residency at Rutgers in Newark, New Jersey, and a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. In her clinical practice, Dr. Wei cares for many critically ill traumatic brain injury and traumatic spinal cord injury patients. Her academic interests include neurotrauma, in particular the systemic effects of spinal cord injury.
