Madeleine Nowak, Dr.

Postdoc Fellow

Madeleine Nowak, PhD is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Translational Research Center for TBI and Stress Disorders (TRACTS) at VA Boston. She earned her Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Neuroscience from Indiana University, where she investigated the vulnerability of ADHD to neural stress using novel applications of neuroimaging, blood-based, cognitive, and neuro-ophthalmologic markers of brain injury. Dr. Nowak's current work centers on her interests in understanding how mental and physical health factors influence brain injury, neurodegenerative disorders, and sensory deficits, with particular attention to PTSD, ADHD, and the effects of physical activity on brain health.
