Shameeke Taylor, MD, MPH, MSCR is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and research faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a faculty member of the Institute for Health Equity Research (IHER). He earned his MPH from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago, after which he pursued a dual Global Health and NHLBI T32 research fellowship. In 2021, Dr. Taylor was named a Mount Sinai Biomedical Laureate, an award supporting junior faculty with research promise. He is also a recipient of the Robert A. Winn Excellence in Clinical Trials Award Program, established by the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation. His research focuses on neurotrauma, injury, and health equity, particularly the role of social determinants of health in shaping disparities in outcomes.
