Dr. Khaing is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology at the University of Louisville and is a member of the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center.

Research in the Khaing lab centers on mechanisms of plasticity, regeneration, and repair in the adult mammalian central nervous system under conditions of aging, disease, and injury.
