Laura Zima, MD, grew up in rural Ohio. She then attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in psychology. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa as a Junior Phi Beta. She then attended medical school at the University of Nebraska where she graduated with distinction and was inducted into AOA Honor Society. She then started residency at UTHealth Houston in 2019. She is graduating this June and continuing on to Neurotrauma fellowship at UCSF.
