Laura Tucker, Ms.

Professor & Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs

Laura Tucker is a behavioral neuroscientist and manager of the Preclinical Behavior and Modeling Core (PBMC) at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in behavioral neuroscience. In her role, she oversees a large rodent behavioral testing facility that supports researchers studying traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions. Laura works closely with investigators to design experiments, run behavioral studies in mice and rats, and analyze complex behavioral data. Her work often focuses on locomotion and gait analysis, using systems such as MouseWalker and DigiGait to understand how brain injuries affect motor coordination. She also trains students and researchers in behavioral testing methods and experimental design.
