I recently finished my thesis work at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University working under Dr. Peter Bergold, PhD. I investigated the role of Tau protein isoform expression in histological and behavioral outcomes of Traumatic Brain Injury using the in vivo closed head injury mouse model. My work focused on axonal injury and associated spatial memory deficits. I am continuing to research TBI and axonal injury as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania under Dr. Douglas Smith, MD.
