Getting to Milwaukee

By Air

General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is Milwaukee’s primary airport and the most convenient option for NNS attendees.

By Train

Amtrak provides regular service to Milwaukee Intermodal Station from Chicago and other regional cities. The station is located in downtown Milwaukee, just a short ride from most hotels.

By Car

Milwaukee is conveniently located along Interstate 94, making it an easy drive from Chicago (approx. 90 minutes) and other Midwestern cities.

Chicago O’Hare (ORD)

Chicago O’Hare International Airport is about 90 minutes south of Milwaukee and provides a wider range of international and domestic flight options. From O’Hare, attendees can travel to Milwaukee via rental car, private shuttle, or coach services, which offers direct service to downtown Milwaukee.

Milwaukee has more than 150 miles of bike trails.

There are over 15 museums in downtown Milwaukee and 30 museums including the surrounding counties

There are more than 200 locally owned restaurants in downtown Milwaukee and 16 James Beard-recognized chefs and restaurants.

Milwaukee is nicknamed Brew City because of its rich brewing history.
Some also refer to Milwaukee as “The City that Beer Built.”

Milwaukee is the birthplace of Harley-Davidson Motor Company, founded in 1903, and is home to the world’s only Harley-Davidson Museum.

Atop the Milwaukee Art Museum are the Santiago Calatrava- designed Burke Brise Soleil “wings.” Those wings open when the museum opens and close when the museum closes, and flap at noon daily.
