Alivia is a first year Master’s student at the University of Colorado and is an active-duty Major in the Air Force Institute of Technology’s Civilian Institution Program. She graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2015 with a B.S. in Behavioral Science and Leadership, where she then went on to become a C-17 Aircraft Commander and a T-6 Instructor Pilot before getting selected for this Advanced Academic Degree program. Her graduate work focuses on sleep, traumatic brain injury, and alcohol use. Under an accelerated 18-month program, Alivia will graduate in December 2027 and go on to become Athletic Department Faculty at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Outside of the lab, Alivia is a member of the University’s swimming team and enjoys cooking.
