Christopher LeDoux is a BS/MD student at Hofstra University and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine, where he combines pre-medical education with active neuroscience research as a Visiting Scholar in the Translational Brain Research Laboratory at The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. His clinical interests focus on neurosurgery particularly neurotrauma, neuro-oncology, and cerebrovascular surgery, driven by personal experiences witnessing compassionate care delivered to his family and by family members in healthcare. An internationally recognized classical trumpet player, Christopher serves as Principal Trumpet for Carnegie Hall's National Youth Orchestra (touring Latin America as a cultural ambassador) and the New York Philharmonic Festival Youth Orchestra under conductor Gustavo Dudamel. He performs with the Grammy Award-winning New York Youth Symphony and provides free music education to underserved students through the DoReMi Project. Christopher is committed to integrating music-medicine initiatives into his future neurosurgical practice, viewing the arts and medicine as complementary forces in healing and patient care.
