Dr. Amanda Parezo is an Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Occupational Therapy department at Thomas Jefferson University. A graduate of Jefferson’s Master’s in OT program (2010) and holding a Doctorate in OT from Salus University (2018), she brings over a decade of clinical experience, primarily working with older adults with traumatic brain injury at MossRehab, and holds a specialty certificate in vision rehabilitation. In 2021, Dr. Parezo experienced a life-altering spinal cord injury, undergoing intensive rehabilitation herself at Magee Rehabilitation. This profound personal experience, combined with her extensive clinical background, fuels her passion as a powerful community advocate and role model, offering unique insights into resilience, recovery, and the patient experience.
